Delete your Food Web account
To delete your Food Web account, submit the form on this page or email privacy@foodweb.network. We confirm the request is yours, then close the account. You can use the same form to get a copy of your information, correct it, or ask us to fix a business listed on the map.
What we delete and what we keep
Food Web Asset Mapping Inc. deletes identity and access data when an account closes. If you have never paid, been paid, or used credits, that deletion is complete. If you have, we still remove your login, profile, private messages, photos, saved maps, notes, API keys, and connected assistants.
- We keep bookings, payments, payouts, deposits, credits, and referral records. Tax and payment law require them.
- When those records exist, we keep a private copy of your name and email so the history names a real person. We do not use it to market to you.
- A kitchen whose only owner deletes their account is archived. It leaves the public site and the booking history stays.
- Public forum posts stay up until you ask us to remove them in the same request.
How long it takes
We reply to the email you give us and complete a verified request within 30 days. Residents of US states that allow 45 days get that full period. We may extend once where the law allows, and we will say so. This follows PIPEDA, and the same timeline covers access and correction. US state requests, including California, follow the 45-day rule in our Privacy Policy.
Businesses listed on the map
You do not need a Food Web account to be on the map. Listings are often taken from a public website. To correct or remove one, choose that option in the form and include the business name and city. You can also phone 902-718-7328.
Submit a request
You can also email privacy@foodweb.network or phone 902-718-7328. Mailing address: 268 Rolling Hills Drive, Waverley, NS B2R 1B5, Canada.
Common questions
How do I delete my Food Web account?
Submit the form on this page and choose “Delete my account and personal information,” or email privacy@foodweb.network. We reply to confirm it is you, then delete the account. The form alone does not delete anything.
What does Food Web delete, and what does it keep?
We delete your login, profile, private messages, photos, saved maps, map notes, API keys, and connected AI assistants. If you have no payment history, that is a full deletion. If you have paid, been paid, or used credits, we keep the booking, payment, payout, deposit, credit, and referral records, plus a private copy of your name and email so those records stay attached to a real person. We do not use that copy for marketing. A kitchen you alone own is archived, not deleted. Public forum posts stay up until you ask us to remove them.
How long does a privacy request take?
We aim to complete a verified request within 30 days. Where a US state privacy law gives you 45 days, we meet that deadline. We may extend once when the law allows, and we will tell you if we do.
Can I remove a business from the Food Web map if I never made an account?
Yes. Use this page and choose “Correct or remove a business on the Food Web map,” or email privacy@foodweb.network. Include the business name and city. Many map listings come from public websites and were not submitted by the business.
How do I get a copy of my personal information?
Choose “Send me a copy of my personal information” on this page, or email privacy@foodweb.network from the address on your account. We verify the request and send the copy to that address.
