In Newfoundland and Labrador a Food Establishment Licence may be issued to any premises involved with the sale, production, manufacturing, preparation, storage or distribution of food, and the licence cannot be transferred — take over someone else's space and you apply in your own name. The Food Premises Regulations exempt home-based food preparation under s. 3(c), subject to conditions on product types and safety standards, and they contain no provision at all for several operators sharing one premises.
